“A Time to Care Luncheon” is a yearly endeavor of The Rose which brings together professionals and leaders in celebration and encouragement of personal, professional, and community growth.

The Rose is one of the leading non-profit organizations in Texas about breast health care, offering screening and diagnostic services to more than 35,000 women every year.  Dr. Roehl is a noted and active member of the board of directors of The Rose.

Dorothy Gibbons, CEO and co-founder of The Rose, hosted the event.  More than 200 professionals joined the luncheon.

The event’s keynote speaker is Christina Kaufman – a dynamic executive coach, author, entrepreneur, and business leader.  Her talk emphasized the need for annual mammograms for both the young and the old. She also highlighted that the breast screening, in fact, significantly contributes to the decrease of breast cancer fatality.

This is in line with the unsafe recommendations of the United States Preventive Services Task Force that annual mammograms should no longer be recommended to women 40 years old and above and that women from 50-74 years old should merely undergo the procedure once in two years.
